Portrait frontispiece in volumes 1 and 2. Full contemporary vellum. Title written in pen on the spine. The cap of volume I is damaged. A slight marginal tear at the bottom of volume II. 10 lines of old handwritten annotations in the upper corner of the half-title page of volume I. 18th-century handwritten bookplate. In good condition overall. A RARE complete set of the three volumes of the FIRST EDITION of the French translation of this important source on 17th-century English history.
