In-8, comprising in particular ‘A Method of Riding Based on New Principles, Revised and Expanded’, followed by ‘Equestrian Pastimes’, ‘Dialogues on Riding’ and ‘A Reasoned Dictionary of Riding’. ’ Detachable frontispiece portrait and 9 plates containing a total of 15 illustrations. Contemporary half-chagrin binding with corners. Spine with faux raised bands in panels decorated with gilded motifs. In good condition overall. The volume is enhanced by a DEDICATION to Eugène DEJEAN with an AUTOGRAPH SIGNATURE by François BAUCHER, one of the greatest masters of horsemanship of the 19th century. A RARE copy (signed works by Baucher are rare).
