Dedicatory epistle to the Prince of Conti. A very complete copy with all 39 numbered plates (one restored). ‘Essay on Falconry’ and ‘Dictionary of All Hunting Terms’ in the second part. Old traces of worm damage and damp. The first endpaper is missing. Full marbled sheepskin binding of the period (scuffing and some losses). Ribbed spine decorated with title label. Cap bands damaged, one corner broken. RARE FIRST EDITION of the most important work on hunting from the 18th century.
