Red half-chagrin binding. Spine with faux raised bands decorated with floral motifs. Gilded head. In satisfactory condition overall. FIRST EDITION, enhanced by a commercial photographic print (yellowed) inserted into the binding of Volume II, p. 201, showing an interior view of the Gallery of Machinery with the Egrot industrial establishments’ stand in the foreground.
