COURIER (P.-L.). LETTERS FROM FRANCE AND ITALY (1804–18012). Paris, Les Bibliophiles du Papier, 1927. In-4°, loose-leaf, in a folder and slipcase decorated by the publisher. Heliogravure portrait after Léon Morice. A print run of 110 copies, numbered on white vellum; this is one of the first hundred, printed for Mathieu Varille and accompanied by the illustrated menu. Also included: CONRAD (J) – BARBEY (V). AU BOUT DU ROULEAU. Paris, Les Exemplaires, 1931. In-4°, loose sheets, in the publisher’s slipcase and box. Frontispiece and numerous original black etchings in the text by Valdo Barbey. A single edition of 99 numbered copies on Rives paper; this is one of the first fifty, printed for Mathieu Varille. Case damaged. ED
