Paris, Michel Brunet, Hérissant 1719–1722–1738. 4 folio volumes, marbled calfskin, ornately ribbed spines, red edges (contemporary binding). The first volume contains 8 FOLD-OUT MAPS OF PARIS from various periods, engraved by Nicolas de Fer; the second contains its supplement at the end; the third is dated 1719; and finally, the last volume, entitled ‘Continuation of the Treatise... . Public Works.’ (Hérissant, 1738), is adorned with a NINTH FOLD-OUT MAP OF PARIS AND A MAP OF THE FOUNTAINS OF PARIS. Bindings are damaged; the maps are intact.
