GRANET (Pierre de). STYLUS REGIUS GALLIARUM. Burgi Sebusianorum (Bourg-en-Bresse), printed by J. Tainturier, 1630. In-4°, [12]-748-[27]-1bl. pages, sheepskin, decorated ribbed spine, red edges (contemporary binding). FIRST EDITION OF THE SECOND VOLUME PRINTED AT BOURG-EN-BRESSE. The text, in Latin and French, provides valuable information on the history of the Bresse region and the Presidium of Bourg. Jean Tainturier combined the professions of printer and bookseller with the office of steward of the Presidium. On page 157 begin the ‘Cayers de la Noblesse de Bugey et Verromey’. A copy with wide margins bearing the handwritten ex-libris of Jacob Portier, notary, 1859.
