In-8, 439 pages, emerald-green shagreen, double gilt border on the covers, gilt coat of arms in the centre of the covers, gilt lace edging inside, decorated ribbed spine, gilt edges (De Haas). A very fine copy bearing the coat of arms of Pierre Le Breton (1805–1886), born in Pleven, Bishop of Le Puy and one of the Fathers of the First Vatican Council. Carefully bound by Charles de Haas, who established his business in Paris in 1865. (Fléty, 89).
