A substantial and fine manuscript on philosophy and teaching written by the student Joanne Rouher, a pupil at the Collège de la Félix Sainte-Trinité in Lyon, whose teacher was Louis Demonclard, a Jesuit born in Avignon in 1718.
A very neatly executed manuscript. The first volume (Logic, Metaphysics, Theology and Physics, etc.) is adorned with two framed title pages and two plates printed by Jean Vallet, the King’s engraver in Paris.
The second volume is illustrated with a printed title page and 26 PLATES, 24 OF WHICH ARE CAREFULLY DRAWN in pen. At the end is an engraving depicting a galleon. There are a few small drawings within the text. A very fine copy. (De Backer-Sommervogel V, 1203).
