MEHEUT (M.). STUDIES OF ANIMALS. Paris, Librairie Centrale des Beaux-Arts, (1911). 2 volumes, large folio, loose-leaf, in the publisher’s cardboard slipcase. First edition and first printing of the 96 plates (out of 100) by the famous Breton painter Mathurin Méheut (1882–1958). All plates are printed on heavy paper and mounted on bluish, greyish, bistre or occasionally yellow paper, under the supervision of E. Grasset. Title pages and spines of the portfolios are missing.
