First edition, illustrated with numerous in-text illustrations and 66 beautiful full-page plates in two versions, one of which is in colour, by the painter Pierre-Georges Jeanniot. Limited edition of 90 copies; this is one of the 30 NUMBERED ON HOLLAND PAPER (Vicaire VII, 1215). A very fine copy, one of the few to contain the illustrations in two versions.
