Description
(Byzantine manuscript). 2 handwritten folios with miniatures on parchment, (14 x 19 cm), framed, both sides visible, dating from the 12th–16th centuries. The manuscript is written in neat, flowing Greek cursive script, with 36 lines per page, using traditional Byzantine manuscript abbreviations, and contains two passages from the Acts of the Apostles. Each leaf is adorned with a large gilded and painted miniature (100 x 70 mm). One depicts Saint Paul (?) preaching before the philosophers in Athens, and the second shows an angel standing beside a figure lying in bed.
