NAVY: Untitled manuscript. Comprising 12 folio-sized pages (dimensions: 39 x 29 cm); anonymous manuscript (in the form of a table set out in columns on pre-printed paper marked ‘Marine. Ports, No. 2, interleaved sheets (1818)’ listing, for the period between 1792 and 1814, the names of French warships; their home ports; and their dates of launch and decommissioning (grounding, capture, destruction by the enemy, etc.). Fine calligraphy, yet legible; an old ink stain on the first sheet, but otherwise a fine copy; a genuine inventory of the fleet (dozens and dozens of ships listed).
