Paris, Veuve Estienne, 1739-48. 16 vol. in-12, granite calf, spine ribbed and decorated, red edges (contemporary binding). New edition decorated with a portrait of the author, 1 plate (naval combat), 2 plans (Rome and Syracuse) and 11 folding maps, 3 with coloured outlines (Italy, Sicily, Numidia, Greece, Gaul...). The work was completed by Crevier after Rollin's death in 1741. Binding damage, corners dulled, scattered foxing, tears not missing from several maps. A few different spines.
