ALBUM OF 64 PHOTOS (5 x 7 cm ; 16 x 10 cm ; 10 x 6 cm) on 45 sheets of strong cardboard mounted on tabs in an oblong in-8 album, black half-chagrin with corners (binding late 19th century, early 20th century). This "professional" album is a rare testimony to bearers and the training of bears and cubs at the very end of the 19th century. The black, sepia or bluish photographs set in gilt frames, sometimes round, a mixture of cyanotypes and charcoal prints, show the complete training cycle, from the playful cub to the show of strength (the famous kiss) including family life and canine auxiliaries.
