Small in-32 (27 x 20 mm) of 64 pages, red morocco, boards decorated with a gilt lion, gilt lace, gilt morocco case, gilt edges (period binding). Fully engraved miniature almanac. It contains a calendar with the important days of the year, the lyrics of 8 different songs and a collection of mottos. This little book is illustrated with 8 very fine engravings, one for each song. It also contains short rhymes about love and romance for boys and girls. These almanacs, usually given at Christmas, were very popular with young girls in the 19th century. Fine condition.
