Description
Levantine manuscript in two parts Levant, dated 1857 (AD) 20.5 x 15 cm. This interesting manuscript consists of two separate writings. The first is a grammar book in black and red ink in beautiful cursive calligraphy, with titles in elegant ornamental muhaqqaq calligraphy. The second is a book of poetics, Kitab Ba'th fi 'ilm al 'arabiya", by Chartouny Said el Khoury, dated 1857 of the Gregorian calendar, and copied by the monk Chabrel Bikhani Bassem at the convent of Kfayfan, in Lebanon.
