Estaunié, Édouard – *L'appel de la route* – Autograph dedication signed by the author on the half-title page. Librairie Académique Perrin et Cie, 1922. In 12-format paperback comprising 355 pages plus table of contents, in fairly good condition. The author (1862–1942) was a novelist and graduate of the École Polytechnique, who coined the term ‘telecommunication’ in 1904. A psychologist and moralist, he was the literary and melancholic chronicler of the bourgeoisie. Elected to the Académie française in 1923.
