Godoy, Armand – Sonnets for Don Juan. With 3 letters signed by the author. - With an autograph dedication on the half-title page addressed to Yves-Gérard Le Dantec, and three typewritten letters signed by the author and addressed to Yves-Gérard Le Dantec, dated 12, 19 and 27 June 1956, are attached to our copy on Rives vellum paper of the first edition. Grasset, 1956, in small quarto paperback format with a red folded cover, unpaginated, in very good condition. Armand Godoy, 1880–1964, was a Symbolist poet of Cuban origin, nicknamed the ‘prince of rhythm’. The Académie française awarded him the Prix Hérédia for his entire body of work in 1928 and 1952.
