In 12-format paperback comprising 176 pages, in fairly good condition. Pierre Schneider (1925–2013) was an art historian, writer, literary critic and translator. The son-in-law of Henri Matisse, he published, after fourteen years of research, a seminal monograph on the painter in 1984, which remains the definitive work on the subject.
