KANDINSKY (Vassily) – Poems illustrated with original woodcuts – Paris; Éditions Argillet, 1968 – 1 folio volume in loose-leaf format, bound in a blue cloth cover decorated in gold with an abstract design and a facsimile of the author’s signature - A few rare and faint foxing spots on some leaves - Title vignette, 5 black woodcuts in the text, 5 colour woodcuts outside the text bearing the ‘K’ drystamp, one bearing a wet-stamped signature – A fine, numbered copy on white Arches paper (no. 49 of 80, total print run: 100), with an autograph signature by the author’s wife, Nina Kandinsky, on the margin. The woodcuts are those which, in 1913, had illustrated the famous collection *Klänge* and which were rediscovered long after the war. Hans Arp translated one of the four poems.
