BRANTOME (Pierre de Bourdeille de) - Works of the Lord of Brantôme - London: Published by the bookseller, 1779 - 15 volumes, large 12mo - Titles in red and black ink - Frontispiece portrait and 8 genealogical tables, 7 of which are fold-out (all present) – Contemporary binding in speckled fawn sheepskin (spines of volume I split; minor worm damage to those of volume II) – Smooth, decorated spines with titles and volume numbers in gold (some damaged caps) – Beige edges speckled with red – Coat-of-arms ex-libris label on the front covers: H. Tronchin; handwritten ex-libris on the title pages: Charles Tronchin - A fine copy of this new edition, considerably expanded, revised, accompanied by historical and critical notes, and arranged in a more logical order.
