DECLOUX & DOURY – History of the Sainte-Chapelle at the Palace – Paris; Félix Malteste et Cie Printers, Charles Cotteret’s Lithographic and Intaglio Printing Works, 1857 – 1 folio volume – the first 2 leaves* are slightly yellowed - Text framed by a wide frieze of iridescent colour - 25 lithographed plates inserted separately, 20 of which are in colour - Contemporary cherry-coloured half-shagreen binding (stitching slightly weak, very slight tear at the first joint) - Front cover printed in gold, still intact - Smooth spine with title in gold - Handwritten ‘ex dono’ inscription.
