-ROGER DE BEAUVOIR. L.A.S., dated 15 September 1855. In-12 format, 2 ff. folded sheet, handwritten on one page, 13 lines. Embossed with his cipher, F. D. Eugène-Augustin-Nicolas Roger, known as Roger de Beauvoir (1807-1866), romantic novelist, poet and playwright. Friendly letter written with style for an invitation to lunch and to see each other again... Ink rather lightened.
-JULES FAVRE. L.A.S. dated 13 June 1864. In-12 format, 2 ff. folded sheet, handwritten on one page, 13 lines. On laid paper. Letter of recommendation. Believed to be from the lawyer Jules Favre (1809-1880), a French republican lawyer and politician, Protestant and Freemason, who lived through the XIXᵉ playing a role in almost every regime.
