-LOUIS-PHILIPPE.
P.A.S. Neuilly, 25 August 1824, 1 ff. in large in-4 format. Brown ink on a third of the sheet. Louis-Philippe was still only Duke of Orléans, as he would not reign until 1830, and resided at the Château de Neuilly. Here he authorises the Chevalier de Brov(art) to give the Duchesse d'Orléans, his wife, the sum of "Fifteen hundred and twenty francs" for the expenses she has had to incur for their children.
PRINCE DE METTERNICH.
P.A.S. with fine signature from Prince Klemens Wenzel von Metternich (1773-1859), Austrian statesman, former chancellor overthrown by the Revolution of 1848.
1 pp, brown ink on verso, square in-8 format, written in German, dated 1849 and sent from his exile in England after his escape.
On ivory laid paper with cold stamp (starry coat of arms) and watermarked date (1846). Anecdotal wear to edges, traces of folding.
