Zola sends three copies of his volume [Contes à Ninon], to be divided between himself, Léo Joubert - author and journalist, writing in the Revue contemporaine - and the editor responsible for writing the article... "(...) Could you not, for once, depart from your usual practice and give a notice in the body of the Revue itself, to a book which perhaps does not deserve this honour. Please tell M. Léo Joubert how grateful I am for this courtesy (...)".
