Contemporary lemon morocco, spine ribbed and decorated, title and year gilt, gilt fleur-de-lys panels, boards decorated with a large gilt plaque in the Dubuisson style with interlacing garland, gilt roulette at the edges, gilt edges, gilt and embossed dominoté paper endpapers (some rubbing at the spine and edges, small tears at the tail cap, some browning).
Beautiful and rare almanac binding in lemon morocco, decorated with plaque.
The binding has tarnished a little, the gilding is less warm and the colour of the leather has faded, but the object remains charming.
Interleaved calendar for each month. Handwritten bookplate on one endpaper: "M[arqu]is de la Grange".
