In-folio (59.5 x 39 cm). 10 plates on sheets (55 x 36 cm). In publisher's folder. Green half cloth covered with pink paper on the boards, cover with ornate title page, lithographed in black, pastedown, yellow endpapers (traces at the bottom of a few plates but otherwise a fine copy).

Suite of 10 plates finely drawn by A. Baumann and printed by Lemercier, representing saddlery and harness objects.
Taken from the Guide du sellier et du harnacheur, a reference work intended at the time for professionals or top-level trainers.
With the very beautiful and rare period cover on the front cover.
Each plate, which is extremely precise, shows objects in situation on a horse, sometimes two, then drawn to scale, with cross-references and indexes at the bottom of the plate; there are dressage devices, articles for the stables, harnesses, bridles, etc.
