In Rennes, for Noël Glamet, de Quinpercorentin, 1598. In-16 (h = 115 mm.), (5) ff, 549 pp (signed A-Mm 8). 18th century havana morocco, ribbed spine, brown title-piece, ornate compartments, gilt roulettes on the spines and end-papers, gilt dominoté end-papers, gilt edges (head-cap and corners worn, small stains on the covers but a good copy).
Only 2 copies in the CCFr (BnF). According to the BnF, the address is false. "After the Propos Rustiques (1547) and the Baliverneries, ou Contes nouveaux d'Eutrapel (1548) (...) the seigneur de La Hérissaye published in 1585 the Contes et Discours d'Eutrapel. It featured the same trio of devisants, Lupolde, Polygame and Eutrapel, but this mature work had gained in depth: comic stories alternated with moral reflections on the issues of the day (justice, human relations, illness, politics).
