Sheet, folio format (49.5 x 58 cm, in the bowl) with wide margins, on thick laid paper watermarked (VB and a moon), (a few small scattered foxes especially on the verso, slight central fold).
Large map of the lake city, very finely engraved on copper in black, with banks and canals watercoloured in blue, with engraved frame.
Beautiful iconographic plan of Venice, based on the one by Lodovico Ughi published in 1729. With an attractive ornate cartouche and a detailed legend of places and monuments of interest in the lower margin. Teodoro Viero (1740-1819) was an engraver, miniaturist, publisher and print dealer.
