Roma, Rubeis, (1677). In oblong folio. Contemporary half basane (binding rubbed, some spotting). 13 etchings in black with title-frontispiece, numbered and signed. Etchings drawn and engraved by Petrus Aquila, A Petro Aquila delineatæ incisæ, after the frescoes by Annibale Carraccius, known as Carracci, commissioned by Cardinal Odoardo Farnese between 1596 and 1597 for the ceiling of the Camerino Farnese in the Palazzo, now the French Embassy in Rome. Complete with 13 fine folio prints. They represent the labours of Hercules and other allegorical scenes. The second plate contains the publisher's dedication to Cardinal César d'Estrées. Published without date, the collection is mentioned in Rossi's Index of 1677.
