Speckled fawn basane, 6-ribbed spine, red title-piece, ornate coffered boards, triple cold-stamped fillets framing the boards, speckled edges (binding rubbed, upper spine split, leather missing from spine, corners dull, marginal defects inside including spotting and missing corners). Second edition of this work. The illustration consists of a fine copper-engraved frontispiece by G. Scotin after S. Le Clerc, 65 plates numbered in Roman numerals and numerous figures in the text.
