Description
SCHLEGEL Friedrich von (1772–1829). Letter from the author ‘Fr. v. Schlegel’, [Vienna 1815]; 1 page, in-8. Note: During the Congress of Vienna. Minister Johann von WESSENBERG will reply as soon as he receives the agreed communication from Baron Wilhelm von HUMBOLDT. It is the Baron’s responsibility to ensure that matters proceed without delay. Schlegel will speak again to His Excellency Baron von Wessenberg to urge him to press the matter with the Prussian envoy. He would like to know whether the Act of the Congress can be obtained in Paris. ‘The reply from Minister von Wessenberg will follow immediately once he has received the agreed communication from Baron von Humboldt. If, therefore, you wish to expedite the matter, I ask you to bring this to the attention of Baron von Humboldt, as it is entirely up to him to ensure that it is set in motion without delay. – I shall, however, not fail to raise the matter once again with His Excellency Baron von Wess[enberg], so that he may himself bring it to the attention of the Prussian Ambassador once more. […] Is the Acte du Congrès still not available from Schoell in Paris?”
