on foot and on horseback in the Woods, Hunting Grounds and Fishing Grounds of His Most Serene Highness, His Lordship the Count of Eu, both in his Principality of Anet and in his County of Eu, the Duchy of Aumalle, the County of Argentan, and the County of Cressy…containing their names, nicknames, places of residence and length of service up to 1 January 1764.
Square 12mo, (4) folios (half-title, title page, introduction) – 42 pp. Red morocco leather with the coat of arms of the period, decorated ribbed spine, covers framed by a gilded garland with floral and animal motifs, gilt edges, blue silk endpapers (some scuffing and scattered, discreet pinholes).
Note:
Manuscript bearing the coat of arms of Louis-Charles, alias the Count of Eu, Prince of Dombes.
The manuscript was subsequently passed on to King Louis Philippe, bearing his seal ‘La Bibliothèque du Roi / Palais Royal’ on the half-title page, and is now held in the library of the Palais des Orléans.
