MEUSNIER DE QUERLON, Anne-Gabriel. Les Graces. Paris, L. Prault, Bailly, 1769. In-8, (2) ff., VIII-330-(2) pp. 19th-century red morocco [Petit-Simier] (marginal foxing on a few leaves). Bibliography: Cohen, 834. Description: First edition. “A charming work, gallantly illustrated” (Cohen). A fine copy on Holland paper. The illustrations consist of a frontispiece engraved on copper by J.B. Simonet after F. Boucher, a title page engraved after Moreau the Younger, and five plates engraved on copper by Massard, Simonet, de Longueil and de Launay, also after Moreau the Younger, two of which are dated 1768 and one 1769. A plate engraved by J. Marchand after C.L. Desrais is bound opposite page 322 (not mentioned by Cohen).
