Stapled in contemporary blue temporary paper, with printed title labels on the spines (copy damaged by age: spines broken on a few volumes, paper loss on some covers, scattered foxing, soiling). Description: An edition illustrated with separate plates based on Mariller’s works, engraved in black using intaglio engraving by Dambrun, De Ghendt, De Launay, De Longiez, Halbou, Macret, Ponce and Trière; fold-out plates of engraved music. A copy in its original format with fine margins, remaining as published whilst awaiting binding. An edition of Rousseau’s Œuvres generally regarded as the most complete and charming of its time, in a convenient format.
