BELLIER DE VILLIERS, Ernest. Les Déduits de la Chasse de Chevreuil… Paris, Goupy, 1870. Quarto, (8) folios, 300–(1) pp., 15 plates including a frontispiece. Fawn half-chagrin with contemporary corners, spine with dotted raised bands edged with gilt fillets, green title label, double gilt fillet on the covers (minor scuffing on the edges, foxing). Bibliography: Thiébaud, 65. Description: First edition printed in a run of only 550 copies, 500 of which were on heavy paper; these were numbered 120 by hand and signed by the author. The illustrations consist of a frontispiece and 14 woodcuts in black, featuring a hunting button on the title page and the coat of arms of Bellier de Villiers opposite the final page. Plates drawn by Bellier de Villiers and photogravured by E. Baroux.
