Contemporary fawn calfskin, spine with broad faux raised bands highlighted with gilt or blind-stamped fillets, attractive repeated romantic gilt ironwork, blind-stamped motifs, gilt title, covers richly decorated with a blind-stamped garland, spandrel motifs and a large central Romantic metal stamp, guilloché grooves, gilt roulette on the grooves and endpapers, gilt edges (slight stains and discolouration on the binding, some scuffing on the covers, a small area of leather peeling, a few scattered foxing spots).
