Blue morocco, spine with 5 raised and dotted raised bands, author, title, place and date in gold, richly decorated panels, framing of three gilt fillets on the covers with fleurons in the spandrels, double gilt fillet on the headbands and footbands, gilt roulettes and fillets bordering the inner covers, gilt edges, original cover preserved [Chambolle-Duru] (very slight soiling on the upper cover, minor foxing on the endpapers and a few leaves at the beginning and end of the volume).
