Illustrated by Charles Delort and Maurice Leloir with 32 etchings, including end-piece engravings, of which 16 are full-page plates.
The publication in 1894 of this novel, inspired by the epic tale of the Duchess of Berry, was accompanied by an exhibition in Paris of Leloir’s watercolours used to illustrate the book.
