Contemporary lemon-coloured half-maroquin with small corners, spine with faux raised bands highlighted by cold-stamped fillets and gilt roulettes, romantic cold-stamped iron mark between the raised bands (colour slightly mottled, some scuffing on the raised bands and end caps, a few small scuffs on the covers, half-title page slightly shrivelled).

Bearing the coat of arms and crowned monogram of Louis Philippe d’Orléans.
‘Bibliothèque du Roi / Neuilly’ stamp on the title page; gilt embossing of the full coat of arms of Orléans at the top of the spine; the crowned initials ‘LPO’ for Louis-Philippe d’Orléans at the bottom of the spine.
