STEFANI, Federico. *Le Antichità dei Bonaparte, con uno studio storico sulla Marca trivigiana* Venice, Co’tipi di Gio. Cecchini, 1857. 2 parts in 1 in-4 volume, frontispiece, XVI–170 pp. and 166 pp. Contemporary red Russian leather, plain spine with decoration, gilt title, covers decorated with a large gilt plate bearing the imperial coat of arms in the centre of the upper cover, gilt edges (very slight foxing to the text, minor scuffs to the leather, rubbed edges, clasps slightly split). Note: First edition. Limited edition of 100 copies, this one being no. 9. A heraldic work from the Second Empire on the origins of the Bonaparte family, comprising a historical study of the Marca Trevigiana (a former historical region of Italy) and an introduction by Luciano Beretta. The second part contains the ‘Documenti’. Only one copy held by the CCFr (BnF). In a binding illustrated with the grand imperial arms and adorned with a colour frontispiece. From the library of Count Biadelli, bearing his armorial ex libris (Corsica).
