12 volumes in-16. Contemporary mottled havana calfskin, ribbed spine, red title label, gilt volume numbers, panels decorated with small metalwork, gilt roulette on the edges, headbands and inside, red-speckled edges (minor repairs to the binding, a few scuffs to the leather, marginal defects
inside including water stains on a few quires and some foxing and soiling).

A new edition of this practical treatise, which enjoyed great success from its first edition in 1703. Handwritten ownership marks on the endpapers: “This book belongs to me / Dupuy, surgeon” and “This book belongs to me / Louis Alexandre Joseph [Annillet?], student of surgery / employed at the
