[RADIGUES (Antoine)]. Figures from the Holy Scriptures. Second half of the 18th century. Folio, a miscellaneous collection of engravings comprising 62 engraved plates, cut out and mounted on heavy paper, including 8 plates without text depicting scenes from the New Testament and 54 plates with the text engraved at the bottom, of which 31 are numbered from I to XXXI in Roman numerals (the second being numbered in Arabic numerals) and 42 bear the inscription ‘A Paris, chez le Roi rue St Jacques à la Croix d’Or’, some engraved by Antoine Radigues and signed on the plate. Bound in full brown shagreen, covers framed with gilt fillets and gilt metalwork, spine decorated with 5 raised bands, all edges gilt, gilt wheel marks on the embossed areas (some soiling, wear with paper loss and restoration to several engravings, some scuffing to the binding)
