Ghent, Verschaffelt, 1856–1860. 60 instalments in 2 in-8 volumes, an illustrated edition comprising 226 (out of 240) colour plates, each accompanied by an explanatory leaflet. Contemporary full shagreen binding, covers with black band and gilt fillets framing the edges, the front cover stamped ‘P. Vezy de Beaufort’, spine with four raised bands, all edges gilt. (some scuffing, several plates missing, no title page, rare foxing)
