Johannot, Bellangé and others, comprising over 400 colour plates depicting Parisian and provincial types, and nearly 1,500 woodcuts within the text. *Le Prisme*, decorated solely with vignettes within the text by the same artists. Texts by Balzac, Janin, Karr, Méry, Soulié, Petrus Borel, Monnier, Nodier and Gautier. A very complete set comprising the three volumes of *Province* and the rare ninth volume, *Le Prisme*.
