PALISSOT: Works. New edition, revised and corrected. Imprimerie de Monsieur, 1788. 4 vols. in-4, in contemporary marbled calf, decorated raised bands on the spine, gilt scrolls on the covers, gilt edges (some scuffing with loss of leather). Edition illustrated with a portrait by Monet on the frontispiece of vol. I and 18 figures by Meon and Monnet, engraved by Thérèse Martinet. Vol. 1, 6 figures including the portrait, and 5 frontispieces for the plays. In Volume 2, 13 illustrations, 3 for the plays on the frontispieces, and 10 for each canto of La Dunciade. A beautifully produced edition by Didot, printed on Holland paper.
