Illustrated with 57 original black-and-white etchings, both in the text and as hors-texte, by Albert Gleizes, drawn by the artist and printed in intaglio by Emond and Jacques Rigal. Text printed by Pierre Bricage in Paris. Limited edition of 235 numbered copies on Canson and Montgolfier ‘Vergé Pur Chiffon Montval’ paper, watermarked with the coat of arms of Blaise Pascal. This copy, no. CLXXXVII, is accompanied by the exhibition catalogue (30 pp.) for the exhibition of the etchings from this work held in Avignon from 22 July to 31 August 1950.
