[Caqueray family, Fernand de Rodays]. COLLECTION of DOCUMENTS and ARCHIVAL MATERIAL comprising:
- A collection of LETTERS from Fernand de Rodays and Gaston de Caqueray to Anne-Marie, their granddaughter and daughter.
-A handwritten letter from Louise-Marie-Thérèse-Bathilde d’Orléans, Duchess of Bourbon, addressed to Monsieur Hüe, the King’s chief valet, requesting that the pension granted ‘to the Caqueray girls’ be paid in full to her elder sister. Red wax seal.
-Two coats of arms bearing the arms of the Caqueray family and two coats of arms bearing the arms of the city of Grenoble.
-Draft bookplate by M. de Caqueray, Adjutant-Major.
-Ink and watercolour drawing of the combined arms of the Caqueray and (?) families, in the style of a marquis’s coat of arms, flanked on either side by a lion and a dog.
