Book printed in black, red and brown, bilingual text in French and Persian in black, framed by friezes of red volutes. 35 lines of text in French and 25 lines in Persian on two columns. False title "Collection orientale. Unpublished manuscripts from the Royal Library translated and published by order of the King". Bound in blue hardback with garnet-red panels and gilt fillets, titled in gilt: "Collection orientale. Le livre des Rois I" (Wear, spotting and foxing, binding rubbed, damaged in places).
